The Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has described Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as an enigma and uncommon personality whose positive impact on both young and old remains unequalled .
Speaking at the 10th colloquium of the National leader of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) held in Lagos, Governor Akeredolu who said the contributions of Asiwaju to the advancement of Nigerian politics cannot be taken for granted lauded him for having invested in the development of other persons.
The 10th Colloquium which has as its theme: “Investing In People”, chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari was part of the activities marking the 66th birthday anniversary of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
The programme which was used to highlight various aspects of the National Social Investment Programme of the Federal Government had various speakers including the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo who spoke on ” Tying the Knots, Liking the Philosophy to Governance “, Minister of State, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed and testimonies of some beneficiaries of the programme as being implemented by the APC controlled Federal Government which Asiwaju is its National Leader.
All speakers including President Buhari extolled the virtues of Asiwaju Tinubu and wished him more years of service to the country and humanity.
In his response the highly elated National Leader, charged Nigerians not to accept the apology of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, after the party had ostentatiously engaged in massive looting of the nation “Nigerians must be wary of the antics of the PDP and ensured that the party did not return to power.
“Don’t take their apology, they falsified, they changed figures and for 16 years, they made false promises,” he said
Some of the dignitaries at the event included the governors of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal.
Other personalities already included the of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, Oba of Lagos, Riliwanu Akiolu, Alake of Egbaland, Aremu Gbadebo, former Chairman of Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, Nuhu Ribadu, past Governors, Senators, Ministers and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawa.
Others are Aliko Dangote, Olugbo of Ugbo, Oba Fredrick Akinruntan, Dr. Tunji Abayomi and Prince Rotimi Ibidapo.
